Digital Key Sharing
You can share your digital Key with others.
You can share the key up to 3 mobiles (if the key is shared to the IPhone then the I-watch (if NFC is applied) which is linked with the shared phone can also support Digital key feature).
If you (Owner) are an iPhone user then the watch which gets linked with your iPhone also become the owner.
Android OS 13 or later, iOS 16.1 or later, the latest version of the Samsung Wallet app, or the latest version of the Bluelink app can share digital keys between Android phones and iPhones. However, if you have a digital key that was previously issued by your Samsung phone, you need to delete it and reissue it to be able to share the key as above.
Procedure to share the digital key
STEP 1. Switch from the Bluelink app's vehicle digital key > digital key management to your phone manufacturer's wallet app.
(Depending on the phone manufacturer, you can launch Apple Wallet / Samsung Wallet and go directly to the manufacturer's app.)
STEP 2. You can share your digital key in the phone manufacturer's app at the path below.
- What if my phone is an iPhone?
Digital Key Card > More > Select sharing permissions > invitation, enter the name and mobile phone number saved in your contacts, and then press the Send button.
Note: If the recipient's iPhone and Apple Watch are signed in to the same account and they are wearing an unlocked Apple Watch, the digital key is also shared on the Apple Watch.
- What if my phone is an Android phone?
In Key Details > Add Contact, select the person saved in your contacts, enter the recipient's name, sharing permissions, and deadline, and then press the [Send Key] button.
※ In STEP 2, the access route and sharing method for each mobile phone manufacturer are subject to change.
