The all-new INSTER has two batteries to choose from: a 42 kWh, and a 49 kWh version that delivers a range of up to 229 miles.3

i-Pedal.

In i-Pedal mode, you can accelerate, decelerate and come to a complete stop using only the accelerator pedal. To stop the car, take your foot off the accelerator.

  1. Vehicle-to-Load charging (V2L).

    You can power or charge any device. A converter plugs into the exterior charging port – which provides up to 3.6 kW power – even when the INSTER is turned off.

    Plug in your laptop or tablet to charge them, just like at home. There’s a 220V socket located in the centre console that uses INSTER’s lithium-ion battery as a power source.

    Adjustable regenerative braking.

    Regenerative braking charges the battery while driving by using the electric motor to slow INSTER. You can adjust the level of regenerative braking with the steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

Parking Distance Warning (PDW).

Forward / Reverse ultrasonic sensors detect objects and warn you with beeps that increase in frequency so you can judge your distance from the object.

  1. Lane Following Assist (LFA).

    When activated, it keeps the INSTER centred in its lane at speeds between 0 and 86 miles on motorways and city streets. 6

  2. Forward Collision-avoidance Assist with Junction Turning (FCA-JT).

    Automatically brakes when it detects sudden braking by the car ahead or detects pedestrians or cyclists in your path. During cross intersection turning, it brakes if there is a risk of collision with an oncoming vehicle. 6

  3. Highway Driving Assist 1.5 (HDA 1.5).

    HDA helps maintain a set distance and speed from the vehicle ahead when driving on a highway and helps centre the vehicle in the lane while driving, even through a curve. 6

  4. Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go (SCC w/ S&G).

    Maintains a set distance, reducing or increasing speed up to a pre-set limit. In “stop & go” traffic, simply tip the accelerator pedal or press the button on the steering wheel to restart the motor after stopping. 2
