    Frequently asked questions about electric cars.

    Yes, all of our Hyundai electric car models from our KONA Electric to IONIQ 5 N have an automatic transmission. This is because they don't need a clutch or gearbox to power the car.

    However, there are a couple of exceptions to this and some manual electric cars do exist, but they are very rare. 

    Yes, electric cars are much heavier than petrol cars. This is largely due to the size of their batteries.
