The 48V mild hybrid engine with the 6-speed manual transmission gives you a direct link to the car. If you prefer an automatic, the 48V mild hybrid engine is available with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

1.5T 48V petrol engine.

The standard 1.5-litre T-GDi engine with 140 PS, comes with 48-volt mild hybrid technology. It is available with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). Maximum power is 140 PS, and maximum torque is 253 Nm.

    The front and rear Parking Distance Warning (PDW-F/R) on the i30 Tourer detects pedestrians, cyclists, plus other vehicles and objects when you are reversing into or exiting from a parking space and alerts you of their presence.

      Safety

      Cutting-edge safety technology.

      The enhanced Hyundai Smart Sense package and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems can be fully integrated into the i30 Tourer, providing safety for you and those you love.

        Rear Occupant Alert (ROA).

        Detects if a rear door was opened or shut before the car was started, then reminds the driver to check the seats upon exiting the vehicle.

        Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control-Curve (NSCC-C).

        Uses the navigation system to help you drive at a safe speed on the highway. You can set the speed to the current highway limits. The curve function predicts upcoming curves on the road and adjusts speed.

        Multi-Collision Braking (MCB).

        When the airbags automatically deploy following a front or side impact, Multi-Collision Braking (MCB) automatically applies emergency brakes to reduce the risk of secondary, or multiple, collisions.

        1. Highway Driving Assist (HDA 1.5).

          Using camera, radar and navigation data, HDA keeps a set distance and speed from the vehicle ahead and centres the vehicle in the lane. The new HDA 1.5 adds motorways to the road types it operates on. 4

        2. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA).

          Scanning the road ahead, the FCA system automatically brakes when it detects sudden braking by the car ahead, or pedestrians and bicycles on the road. 4

        3. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Junction Turning (FCA-JT)

          Sensing the road with radar and a camera, the system automatically brakes when it detects sudden braking by the car ahead, or pedestrians and bikes on the road. When turning left at an intersection, it brakes if there is a risk of collision with an oncoming vehicle. 4

        4. Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA).

          Audio and visual cues appear when the speed limit is exceeded. Combined with a Manual Speed Limiter, ISLA can adjust the car speed automatically. 4
