SEOUL, August 1, 2024 – Hyundai Motor Company today announced that its global sales were down 1.4 percent from a year earlier to 332,003 units in July 2024.
The company sold 275,994 units outside of Korea, a slight decrease of 1.1 percent compared to July 2023.
In Korea, Hyundai Motor sold 56,009 units in July, a decrease of 2.6 percent compared with the same month last year.
Hyundai Motor’s SUV models collectively sold 17,986 units in the domestic market last month, while the Genesis luxury brand maintained solid momentum, with sales of 10,703 units.
The company also sold nearly 18,000 electric vehicles (EVs) in July worldwide, maintaining its EV sales momentum and solidifying its electrification leadership in the global market.
To cope with business uncertainties, Hyundai Motor is strengthening its production and sales to meet demand and respond flexibly to changes in regional markets. The company also plans to increase profitability by enhancing its product mix with more SUVs and luxury models.
Hyundai Motor will host its highly anticipated ‘2024 CEO Investor Day’ in Seoul, South Korea, to introduce its business strategies and targets on August 28 at 15:00 KST.
