Since 2022, the IONIQ lineup has "shaken things up" by winning coveted prizes from the World Car Awards, which is the most prestigious of international automobile accolades, three times in a row. The first IONIQ EV model to win the title was the IONIQ 5, which in 2022 took home the honor of World Car of the Year, World Electric Vehicle, and World Car Design of the Year. In 2023, the Hyundai IONIQ 6 won the same set of titles, and this year, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N was awarded the honor of World Performance Car. All three models are built on the revolutionary and versatile E-GMP(Electric-Global Modular Platform), which offers various features and advantages while giving each model its unique driving experience.

The IONIQ lineup is equipped with the E-GMP platform, our first dedicated electric vehicle architecture. In addition to providing greater flexibility and performance, the E-GMP platform comes with a unique battery position set at a low point in the center of the vehicle. This unique positioning provides a lower center of gravity for excellent driving stability across various vehicle types. Thanks to its EV-oriented structure, the E-GMP platform also offers more spaciousness for optimal comfort and driving pleasure.
Charging the IONIQ lineup is fast, flexible, and hassle-free. Multi-Charging System, the world's first patented technology that can support both 400V and 800V charging infrastructure without additional components or adapters. Its 800V architecture allows you to charge from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes when using a 350 kW DC charger under optional conditions. Whether done at home or at a station, drivers can look forward to fast and convenient charging so they can get back on the road in no time.
The E-GMP is a human-centric platform that maximises use of space.

Design heritage meets game-changing technology: IONIQ 5
As the first vehicle built on our E-GMP, the IONIQ 5 is a true trailblazer that combines power, performance, and smart technology. Exquisitely designed and full of cutting-edge technology, the IONIQ 5 is redefining the driving experience. In doing so, it carries the DNA of the iconic PONY – Hyundai's and Korea's first independently developed automobile. And just like the PONY the IONIQ 5 is sure to be another milestone along the future mobility journey.
All those who followed the debut of our "New IONIQ 5", which took place in Korea in 2024, can soon look forward to it being available in their country. With it, our goal is to build on the IONIQ 5's award-winning heritage while offering new technological features to enhance its living space.
The new IONIQ 5 sports a bold look with a unique and futuristic design based on that of its predecessor. The Digital Side Mirrors are now smaller in size with reduced protrusion when folded, with new rear wipers to enhance convenience. The interior space also provides a wider range of usability. The first row Relaxation Comfort Seats come with adjustable seat positions to help you relax in the most comfortable position. Also, the moveable Universal Island center console changed the layout (such as adding a physical button and moving the wireless charging pad to the top, etc.), adding even more convenience.
Moreover, the battery performance has been enhanced as well. New features like the 4th generation high voltage battery application increase the battery capacity from 77.4kWh to 84.0kWh, extending the single-charge driving range from 458km to 485km while still maintaining the ultra-fast charging time from 10% to 80% battery capacity at 18 minutes on a 350kW fast charger.

Its WLTP-rated range of up to 614 kilometers makes it one of the most energy-efficient mainstream EVs available today. The IONIQ 6 also comes with a dual-color ambient mood lamp with 64 colors to match your mindset, thus enhancing the aesthetic appeal and individual connection with the car. Additional highlights include six pre-selected themes, which were developed through research on changes in bio signals, such as brain waves and electrocardiograms, and in collaboration with color experts.
