Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore Appoints Ms. Min Ling Chan as Vice President, Head of the Technology Innovation Group

SINGAPORE, February 4, 2025 - Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS), the Hyundai Motor Group’s first global open innovation hub and testbed for future mobility, appointed Ms. Min Ling Chan as Vice President, Head of the Technology Innovation Group (TIG).

HMGICS is at the forefront of driving the Group’s human-centric future mobility vision, advancing cutting-edge technologies to revolutionize the future mobility value chain. This strategic appointment reflects HMGICS’s commitment to accelerating its innovation journey and further strengthening its leadership in mobility solutions. In her new role, Ms. Chan will lead digital transformation efforts and oversee the implementation of advanced technologies, including the development of a robust digital infrastructure to enhance data integration, automation, and intelligent systems. Her leadership will play a pivotal role in shaping the technology innovation journey to realise HMGICS’s mission to revolutionise the mobility value chain.

With over two decades of experience leading large-scale transformations across Asia Pacific, Europe, and Australia, Ms. Chan brings a wealth of expertise in digital transformation, process optimization, and automation. Her career includes a key role at Ford Motor Company Asia Pacific, based in Australia, where she managed engineering processes and led efforts to improve operations across the region. Her combination of automotive expertise and strategic leadership makes her an invaluable asset to Hyundai Motor Group. Working closely with Chief Innovation Officer Dr. Alpesh Patel and the remarkable teams at HMGICS, she will focus on achieving the vision of the future factory, while enhancing operational efficiency and fostering innovation in the future mobility value chain.

Ms. Chan’s prior experience includes leading digital transformation initiatives at Mondelēz and championing Industry 4.0 technologies at Schaeffler, focusing on industrial automation, cybersecurity, IIoT applications, data governance and IIoT connectivity to the cloud. She is also a passionate advocate for diversity in engineering and believes that Hyundai’s strong technological capabilities, combined with a talented workforce, are key to the organization’s success.
