SEOUL, January 13 2025 - Hyundai Motor Company crowned the first Hyundai N Virtual Cup (HNVC) World Champion at the offline World Finals on January 11 at the SOOP Colosseum Esports Stadium in Seoul, South Korea.

The Hyundai N Virtual Cup, Hyundai N’s inaugural global sim racing esports tournament, launched in October 2024 at the ADAC SimRacing Expo in Dortmund, Germany, in partnership with KUNOS Simulazioni, creators of the global racing simulator Assetto Corsa. The digital experience allows motorsport enthusiasts to taste Hyundai N’s high-performance driving offerings through the immersive world of sim racing.

The HNVC successfully concluded its online stages, including global pre-qualification, regional qualification, and regional semi-finals, held from October to December 2024. In collaboration with Hyundai Motor’s four main global headquarters in Korea, the U.S., Europe and China, more than 2,800 participants worldwide took part in the tournament. The overall champion was ultimately decided at the World Finals.

Speaking at the event, newly crowned World Champion, Dominik Blajer from Poland said, “I still can’t believe that this has happened, and our European team managed to win the last two races in a row. It was a great comeback and a brilliant end to the competition. I am extremely happy!” The intense racing finale was also livestreamed on the official Hyundai N Worldwide YouTube channel for global N-thusiasts and esports fans.

Beyond the competition, the on-site tournament also offered engaging activities for attendees, including simulator zones where visitors could experience driving Hyundai vehicles in various racing simulators.

“The Hyundai N Virtual Cup has been an exciting opportunity to introduce the Hyundai N brand to not only automotive and high-performance enthusiasts and esports professionals, but also to a broader group of fans globally, sharing what it means to be an N-thusiast with a larger, more inclusive audience worldwide,” said Joon Park, Vice President of N Brand Management Group. “We will continue to collaborate with various racing game developers to provide immersive experiences for gamers and car enthusiasts alike, enhance brand awareness of Hyundai N, and offer virtual opportunities to experience our high-performance models.”
