      The crosswind stability control system actively controls lane departures caused by strong crosswinds to maintain existing driving direction and ensure stability.

        This clever feature helps avoid accidents by detecting vehicles approaching from behind and displaying a warning in the cluster and outside mirror as well as sounding an audible warning.

          Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA).

          Audio and visual cues appear when the speed limit is exceeded. Combined with Manual Speed Limiter, ISLA can adjust the car speed automatically.

          Rear occupant alert (ROA).

          The newest ROA system uses high resolution radar sensors. Radars can measure even minute movements of the chest and blood flow of passengers. So the system is sophisticated enough to distinguish adults, infants, and pets.

          Highway Driving Assist 1.5 (HDA 1.5).

          Highway Driving Assist 1.5 (HDA 1.5) maintains a set speed and distance from the vehicle ahead when driving on highways and helps centre the vehicle in the lane, even through a curve. Smart Cruise Control (SCC) maintains a distance to the vehicle ahead and a speed set by the driver.

          1. Forward Collision-avoidance Assist with Junction Turning (FCA-JT).

            The FCA system automatically brakes when it detects sudden braking by the car ahead or detects pedestrians or cyclists in your path. During cross intersection turning, it brakes if there is a risk of collision with an oncoming vehicle.2

          2. Lane Following Assist (LFA).

            TUCSON Plug-in Hybrid features Lane Following Assist (LFA). When activated, it keeps the car centred in its lane at speeds between 0 and 180 km/h on motorways and city streets.2

          3. High Beam Assist (HBA).

            Detects oncoming vehicles and vehicles in the same lane and automatically switches to low-beam. When no more vehicles are detected, it reactivates the high beams, maximising your range of vision.2

          4. Blind Spot Collision-avoidance Assist (BCA).

            Using two radar sensors in the lower rear bumper, the system warns you of traffic in the blind spot area. Should you set the turn indicator in such a situation, it will sound an acoustic alert to prevent collision.2

          5. Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist Reverse (PCA-R).

            When reversing, if pedestrians or objects are detected in the rear, the system alerts you of a potential collision and will apply the brakes if a collision is imminent.2

          6. Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA).

            With RSPA, you align the car with the parking space, and exit. Once the doors are shut, press the forward/reverse button on the smart key to move the car as desired.2
