Made-in-Singapore IONIQ 5 pop-up at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza gives public access to Hyundai’s latest EV

SINGAPORE, May 2, 2023 – Get up close and personal with the made-in-Singapore IONIQ 5 at the IONIQ 5 Pop-up Store at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza from now to 21 May. The event is open from 11am to 9pm on weekdays and 10am to 9pm on weekends.

The IONIQ 5 is globally acclaimed with its unique design, technology and experience of a next-generation EV. Visitors can also test drive the award-winning IONIQ 5 along a city route or book a test drive slot in advance via https://www.hyundai.com/sg/experience/test-drive/overview . Those who register their interest at the pop-up will stand a chance to win an extended 3-day test drive with the IONIQ 5*.

Visitors will be able to meet Spot, an innovative robot dog that is programmed to conduct quality inspections for all made-in-Singapore IONIQ 5 cars. See Spot in action on Thursday and Friday evenings from 6pm – 8pm; and on Saturday and Sundays from 3pm – 8pm, and capture your picture moment with him at the IONIQ 5 Pop-up Store at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza.


About the Made-in-Singapore IONIQ 5
The IONIQ 5 is the first model in Hyundai’s new IONIQ line-up brand dedicated to battery electric vehicles (BEV). It is built with Hyundai Motor Group’s dedicated BEV architecture called Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), enabling it to have unique proportions on an elongated wheelbase. Besides incorporating eco-friendly materials throughout the body of the car, the IONIQ 5 also features strong performance, coupled with ultra-fast charging capabilities and a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function, as well as advanced connectivity and driver assistance features that will offer the ultimate in-car experience while also ensuring safety.

The IONIQ 5 is also the first made-in-Singapore EVs produced at the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center in Singapore (HMGICS).
