What’s a hybrid?

The new IONIQ Hybrid is equipped with both a petrol engine and an electric motor. They work together with the support of a powerful lithium-Ion polymer battery to deliver amazing fuel economy and cut down on emissions. IONIQ Hybrid switches seamlessly between the electric motor and conventional engine. And as part of the regenerative braking system, this motor also helps slow the car, charging the battery that powers the electric motor.
